Deshu Temple MahaKaali Fagu Top:

On the Deshu Hill according to Kivdenti the foundation stone of Mahakali Deshu Temple was laid by Pandavas. People worship the Pindis (foundation stone)that resides within the temple. Local people around the temple have a strong devotional faith that Goddess Mahakali resides in the Shrubs and thorns that are present on the hill top.

The temple was built up with the help of Shri Guru Maharaj Baba Echa Ji. According to some sources it is estimated Baba is more than 110 years. Shri Ghanshyamdass who is the present saint in the temple is a disciple of Shri Ram Echa Ji Maharaj. During the year 2000 he has completed 13yrs of his Guru initiation. There are many ancient strange things that are related to the sacred Goddess of Mahakali Deshu Temple.

It is believed that in earlier period the king of Sirmaur had attacked Kyuntahl with his army. Kyunthak is a small state near Sirmaur. Due to this war between two states the local people of fagu, khulashi and other came under the refugee of Deshu Temple and started praying at Mahakali’s temple.

Goddess Mahakali told her worshippers that there is nothing to fear about and they will be saved from their enemies. Mahakali told them to wrap a white cotton sheet around their region and fight standing behind the above wall. All the worshippers were surprised to see that not a single bullet pierced the white cloth sheet. This was another miracle of Goddess Mahakali. At last king of Sirmaur had as to turn his back and people were able to take a sigh of relief. There was another miracle in which “Bathu” was baked on the white sheet but the cloth didn’t burn and the cloth remained as it is. Later the worshippers used the baked Bathu as gun powder (this was another miracle of Mahakali) and the added this in their guns to save themselves from the enemies.

It’s being said even now also Goddess Kali of Deshu Temple  keeps on doing amazing things through her mathematics. There are believes that the big stone that has been laid in the temple its because of Bhimsen when he threw that, towards Deshu the hill.

On the Deshu hill where the Goddess Mahakali resides from last four decades a big yagya is being done every year.  Earlier 108 goats were slaughtered to complete the yagya but from the year 1991 according to the commandment of Dharech Goddess the worship of goddess Chandi is being done for 9 days and the yagya is complete by slaughtering 108 coconut kernel which leads to completion of the big Bhunda big Yagya.

Now with the gap of every nine years with this rule the yagya will be performed.

During the festival Bhunda Goddess of Dharech, God Sogu, God Chikleshva of Patrog, God manoon nala, Mahas Nag, Chahed are being invited.

During navratras in the month of Chaita and Asuj the worship of Goddess Durga is being done with full rituals and on the day of Navmi a big yagya takes place. It is also attended by thousands of people. During navratras the Brahmins have been given the right to perform the Puja or worship and prepare the food for goddess. From all the four hills the fagu hill has been considered the head of all.

In the Fagu hill the main place is given to Godddess Deshu’ dehna Village. The person from this village is the head of Deshu mountain.

Apart from this, another festival of Deshu goddess for the wrestles of North India also takes place in famous fagu festival in Talai village near fagu during the month of October. In the said festival wrestles from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, UP, Rajasthan, J&K and other close states come to take active participation in the wresting.
